Clown roundup.

Unlike rodeo clowns, our political clowns are a distraction that doesn't save us from the bull.
With Gingrich bouncing checks and Santorum taking a hike, the most entertaining part of the circus is leaving. So buckeroos, let's have ourselves a Clown Roundup:

The Tears of a Clown:  John Edwards is very sad.  So sad WaPo gives us one of those "rise and fall chronicles" about Edward's life now that he is under indictment for using $1 million in campaign funds to take care of Rielle Hunter's pregnancy "needs."  Yes, "needs" is the word used by the reporter.  Read it and weep.  http://tinyurl.com/7w57dbf

The Fears of a Clown:  From boo-hoo to boo, I see scary things!  Florida Republican Representative Allen West says there are--count 'em--81 card-carrying members of the Communist Party in the U.S. House of Representatives.  McCarthy claimed 205, but hey, 81 is enough for a witch hunt!   Yee-ha!

The Jeers of a Clown:  Herman Cain isn't running scared.  In a video that must be seen to be believed, Big Government is nothing but a big ole chicken--albeit one that will peck you to death.  Of course, by that analogy, our government is operating on chicken feed, but let's don't get bogged in fancy pants analogy stuff.  Honestly, the video doesn't match Cain's Smokin' Man for delirious weirdness, but from now on, we'll need to take our laughs where we can get them.  http://tinyurl.com/bl549rd
