Jumping the Snark.

DEAR EMILY:  MAYBE YOU NEED A BOOSTER SEAT BEFORE YOU PULL UP TO THE ALGONQUIN ROUND TABLE.
Laura Linney gets
Emily Nussbaum's goat,
but it's Nussbaum who
should feel sheepish.
Apparently, Emily Nussbaum has replaced the perfectly fine Nancy Franklin as the New Yorker's teevee critic, and this week on the mag's website, Nussbaum posts a longish complaint about Laura Linney's intros to Masterpiece Theatre's Downton Abbey, including a subject line that the innocuous intros are "freaking me out."  Wow.  Incisive, Important Criticism.  Shall we call it a NussBomb?
