No more House calls.

House is going off the air after this season.  But here's a question:  Lisa Edelstein, whose character Cuddy has been on the show since the first, left the show at the end of last season when producers asked her to take a pay cut.  Her character had become House's "love" interest (is House really capable of love?) and had always been the one sane person (there's something a wee bit needy about Wilson) in House's orbit.  So after all those years--and in the middle of all that drama--how come producers think she's the one who should take a pay cut?  Hugh Laurie, who plays House, is an executive producer.  I'm betting he didn't take a pay cut.  Laurie is a Brit.  Over there, doctors don't hog all the pay.  It's called socialized medicine, Mr. Laurie, and maybe you could learn a little something from it.  But I guess you're not a real doctor, you just play one on TV.  An American doctor who's all free-markety.
